Measles (Immigrants)

I have just been reading that we are facing a Measles Increase in England and Wales. There has been 1,049 cases confirmed up to the end of October 2008, overtaking last years total of 990. This being the highest number of measles cases recorded in England and Wales since the monitoring of the disease was introduced in 1995. I can see up to a point that some of this increase is down to the number of children not having the MMR vaccine. But lets not forget the large amount of immigrants that have flooded into this country over the years , bringing in diseases that we had eradicated. Why arn't these people screened for diseases when they are so stupidly let in to this country, putting peoples lives at risk, god knows there is enough fuss made about bringing an animal over, and being put in quarantine for six months. These immigrants are no better, and should be treated the same way.
